MappyMail is built to keep your mail private while still making paper mail easy to send online. We collect only what is needed to print and deliver your letter, keep the service secure, and respond if you ask for help. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Information we delete

We actively delete mail content. We do not keep the letters you write or the PDFs you upload. After the letter is sent to print and any confirmation email is sent, the printing PDF is deleted from our systems.

If you want a copy for your records, keep your original file or download the preview before checkout.

Information we collect

We collect a small set of details to fulfill your request:

  • Mailing details. Recipient and return address information, plus delivery preferences you choose.
  • Letter content. The text or PDF you submit is used only to print and mail the letter.
  • Contact details. Your email address if you opt in to confirmations or reach out to support.
  • Payment details. Payments are processed by Stripe; we receive confirmation and receipt information, not full card details.
  • Usage data. Basic device and log data such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps to keep the service reliable and secure.
  • Optional location data. If you allow location access, it is used to help you pick a delivery location and is not stored in your profile.
  • Cookies. We use minimal cookies for essential functionality and basic analytics.

How we use information

  • Provide and improve the service you requested.
  • Process payments and send confirmations or support replies.
  • Print and mail your letter to the recipient address you provide.
  • Protect the service from abuse, fraud, or security issues.
  • Measure performance so the site stays fast and reliable.

How we share information

  • Service providers that help us run MappyMail, such as payment processing, printing, and delivery partners, only receive what is needed to fulfill your request.
  • We may share information if required to comply with legal obligations.
  • If we are involved in a merger or sale, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal requirements, and resolve disputes. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect data.

Letter content is deleted after printing, and operational logs are retained only as long as needed for security and reliability.

Your choices and controls

  • Return address is optional, so you can send anonymously if you choose.
  • Confirmation email is optional and used only for delivery updates.
  • Location permission is optional and only helps with the map search.
